Spring is finally here, and as we transition our fashion choices with warmer weather and show a little more skin, it’s equally important to adjust our make-up routines too. Naturally, a warmer season invites us to lighten and freshen things up, whether that’s with a sheer, sparkling gloss instead of an opaque lipstick or luminescent skin instead of a fuller coverage finish.
To keep things simple, I recommend selecting one or two things you want to tweak; perhaps that’s your application style, or incorporating a new product to your routine.
Spring make-up should feel effortless, and switching things up should be easy. That’s why I designed the VINTAGE Cosmetics collection to be 100% wearable all year long, no matter what the season. Each of the items work as a make-up basic, enhancing your already-there beauty and pairing perfectly with your other beauty brand favorites -- winter, spring, summer, or fall.
But since spring has arrived, I wanted to share how to make the most of the collection now, so your approach to applying each item is completely dialed in.
Your Eyes. The Brighten & Define Eyeshadow Palette is all you’ll ever need to make your eyes pop. This two-part palette brings you two matte shadows: one is a light, eye-brightening base, and the other is a dark, eye-defining liner. The base adds a soft, smooth glow to the lid and brightens up tired eyes; and together with the liner the eyes really come alive. For spring, I recommend using this palette and adding your favorite medium-toned pastel hue to the lower lid for the perfect 1-2-3 step eye. Finish the look with a quick swipe of mascara.
Your Cheeks. Spring calls for glow and a burst of color, which is why I love the VINTAGE Blush & Brighten Face Palette and the Illuminating Face Highlighter together. To give cheeks a pop start with the neutral shade and layer with the brighter color. For a fresh glow, brush the highlighter on top to add a gorgeous diamond-like finish to the skin. All you have to do is lightly dust it over the apples of your cheeks, forehead, nose and chin.
Your Lips. The best way to give lips a little refresh is with gloss that matches your natural lip tone, and the VINTAGE Sparkling Lipglosses are the perfect way to add sheer, sophisticated shimmer to your pout. Available in four classic shades, they keep lips luminous, conditioned, and looking pretty as ever. If you want to give your lips a bit more body, you can use the Velvet Lip Crayon topped with gloss for glimmer.
Let me know what you love to change up about your make-up routine in the spring and summer. I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below. And remember I’m always here for guidance, so please feel free to email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org so that you can feel confident in your make-up selections this warm weather season.
