4/22 Jessica's Beauty Water

I’m a big believer that staying healthy and hydrated can be a pleasurable experience; because when we make positive, beautiful choices that better our well being, we’re much more likely to make a habit of it. And when we become healthier from the inside out, everything about us starts to feel good. Our mood boosts, skin clears and even looks more luminous too. After all, beauty is equally an inside job!

As someone who truly can’t stomach plain water, I’ve created something I like to call “beauty water.” Water that is infused with fresh fruit, veggies and herbs to upgrade the flavor and the antioxidant power of daily hydration. The truth is, water is our skin’s best friend. It not only flushes out toxins, but it plumps up our cells by increasing blood flow to the skin.

For me, everything about my beauty water needs to be beautiful. So treat yourself and pull out your favorite stemware or tumblers. I love getting mine at places like Home Goods, TJ Maxx or Tuesday Morning, it’s fun to peruse the aisle and score a good deal plus with a little creativity it can look exceptionally special and chic!

Here are my three favorite recipes. I hope you try them and enjoy!!

Preparation: Make sure you have a pitcher that you can keep in your refrigerator all week long. Fill it with water and ice, and add your favorite infusion.

Wild Berry and Mint Tea

  • Brew Stash’s Caffeine Free Herbal Tea in Wild Raspberry Hibiscus (chill)
  • Pour cooled Tea into pitcher (keep in fridge)
  • Upon drinking, pour Tea into glass, add ice, strawberries, blackberries and raspberries
  • Add fresh mint leaves for added pretty and fragrance

Orange Berry Essence

  • Add ice and cold water to your favorite pitcher
  • Slice up 1 orange to create circles
  • Rinse 1 pint of fresh, plump blueberries
  • Drop the orange circles and berries into the pitcher of water
  • For an added touch snip mint leaves for an extra boost
  • Allow to infuse

Lemon Cucumber Refresh

  • Slice 5 mini cucumbers into tiny circles (I like a lot!)
  • Slice 1 lemon into rounds and then into mini quarters
  • Drop the cucumber and lemon into the pitcher of water
  • Allow to infuse

Now I’d love to hear from you! What are your tricks for staying hydrated? Do you have any favorite recipes? Please share with me in the comments below.
